Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines kicks, defense, acrobatics and dancing in a circle along with capoeira music and his friends clapping in time to the music. The African slaves who came to Brazil involuntarily developed this form of fighting to train for liberation from the oppressors who had brought them to Brazil and subjected them to a brutality we cannot even imagine.

Continuous training in capoeira gives you better self-confidence, your body control increases, your sense of rhythm becomes clearer and, above all, it is a physical exercise where your health improves quite immediately. Capoeira is hard to explain in text and in words, so you have to come and try it so you get a feel for what capoeira is!

Capoeira Club Cultura Brasileira has been active in Stockholm since 2008. Mestre Kiura started this association with a single message: Capoeira is for everyone. Today he has groups in all social classes, with or without disabilities and his youngest student is 3 years old and the oldest is over 80 years old! Mestre Kiura has practiced this martial art for nearly 30 years and most of his life he has trained in his hometown of Rio De Janeiro. Mestre Kiura is a humble Master with an experience beyond the ordinary and therefore his classes are full of dynamics, sweat and repetitions, music and song and that no class is the same 🙂 . Over the years, he has spread his martial arts in several countries and is also active in Croatia & Tanzania. Mestre Kiura welcomes you!
